Saturday May 15th, 5 teams gathered in GBSC for a day coaching session. The weather was not the best for a optimum time afloat but it was surely great fun to get the boats on the plane in the big breeze. A couple of key elements :

• flat boat = fast boat
• KIcker (wang) controls the leech (as weel as downhaul) powering and depowering the sail
• trapeze techniques and the step accross when tacking ( minimising steps, getting out, then hooking)
• dagger board use upwind. rising the board when over powered
• playing the main technique. bringing the tiler extension at chest level
• hiking = puting pressure on straps and being well locked into boat
