News- Optimist ISA squad

Final report of ISA squad program 2009-2010

The Optimist ISA squad program concluded with the final weekend in Dublin end of March. The 16 young sailors worked hard throughout the winter in developping their skills and knowledge of our sport. We spent almost 100 hours afloat and I take the chance to thank all coaches involved ( Ross, Katie, Burcu and Solenne) as well as the ISA (James) and Gordon who introduced the rules of sailing in a new light. This document ( pdf) reviews the program and its achievement.

the sailors had 3 international event within the program. results were pretty good. Seafra was our best finisher in Vigo (17th), Daire in Palma (49th) and Paddy in B'Meer (17th)... Best individual races included three 2nd for Paddy and two 3rd for Sean Donnelly and out of the 21 races a total of 21 top 10 finishes (Paddy-8-, Seafra-1-, Conor-1-, Sean D-5-, Adam-1-, Peter-2-, Cian-1-, Daire-1-). This document (pdf) reviews all results.
