Sunday, 24th of January... after 32 matches over the weekend, the first team racing event held by the Monaco YC ended by a Swiss win!

With 12 teams from 8 countries entered, the Monaco YC was very happy with the outcome of the event.

Two Irish teams made their way to the South of France after some training with Team racer Simon ( who actually went with the team) and myself ( at the TBSS clinic). The RCYC team was composed by Captain Seafra Guilfoyle, John Durcan, Patrick Crosbie and Cian Byrne and the IODAI team by Captain Dara O Shea ( KYC), Daire Cournane (KYC), Sophie Browne ( TBSC) and Adam Hyland (RStGYC).The IODAI team was close to qualify for the semi finals and have a go at the podium only loosing the place by the slightest of margin but Ultimately taking 5th just a place ahead of the RCYC team showing how much we are improving on the international scene after the surprinsing but deserved 8th position collected at the team racing Europeans in Italy last August.
